Floor To Ceiling® Bath Assessment Survey
Is it time to remodel?

Assess Function
Ask these questions about the bathroom you want to remodel to help you identify problems you want to be sure to avoid in your new bath.  You may want to print out this survey.  Answer each question yes or no.

Survey the storage.

  1. Is there adequate storage for towels?
  2. Is there adequate storage for personal care items?
  3. Is there adequate and safe storage for medicines?

Survey the mirror space.

  1. Are mirrors large enough and well placed?  (One good way to increase perceived space in a small bathroom is to add more or larger mirrors.)
  2. Are there functional mirrors?  (Can you see the back of your head and a full-length image?)

Survey the personal care space.

  1. Is there adequate counter space for personal care functions like drying hair, applying make-up and brushing teeth?  (Is it necessary for more than one person to use the bathroom at the same time?)
  2. Is there room to add another lavatory and still retain adequate counter space?

Survey the Fixtures.

  1. Is the tub, stool or lav a dated color or style or cracked?
  2. Would you enjoy adding a jetted or bubble feature to the tub and/or shower?
  3. Is the shower or tub enclosure in poor condition or a dated style?
  4. Is the stool the most comfortable height and shape for its users?
  5. Is there a privacy wall or enclosure for the stool?
  6. Are faucets and plumbing leak-free, in good condition and current styles?
  7. Does the tub have a temperature and volume control?
Survey Other Areas.
  1. Is the floor in good condition?
  2. Do walls need new paint, wallcovering or tile?
  3. Is the tub surround or tile cracked or grout loose?
  4. Is the ceiling stained?
  5. Is there adequate ventilation?
  6. Is there adequate task-related lighting?
  7. Are light fixtures in good condition and current style?
