Since a fair part of the cost of a new floor is the installation, ask your FTC design specialist to help you decide what is right for you. Keep these things in mind as you make a decision:
- Wood, laminate and vinyl floors may be the most comfortable under foot.
- Tile may be the easiest floor covering to care for, requiring little more than regular mopping with water. For best performance, be sure grout is properly sealed. Tile also offers broad selection in textures and patterns and is the number one choice in warmer and more humid climates. A floor warming system, making tile increasingly popular in cooler climates, is available at your local Floor To Ceiling® showroom.
- Vinyl generally features the greatest breadth of pattern selection and is the least expensive choice.
- Wood or wood-look laminate floors are a great way to create warmth in the design, integrating the kitchen with a great room floor plan.
